    All,

    This purple/red image is now what I see in my main camera (one on the battery cover).

    Display camera works fine...

    Phone was not dropped, etc... unsure what happened

    Z30 camera... broken??? Image attached-img_20160530_195003.png

    Wipe it, reload your OS. If it's still broke, the camera module likely died and you'll have to look at replacing it / getting a replacement device or moving on. There's also a small chance that even if a wipe fixes it, it might only work for so long before it fails again. There's no definitive answer here sadly, you just have to roll with it and see how things end up.

    I'm not sure to hope it's software, as this handset is around a year old. While This is aggravating, but still have my back up z10 to run while this gets sorted out...

    Also, hope you are not suggesting moving on from BlackBerry 10.....

    How did you reload it, just using BlackBerry Link and reload? If so, find and download an autoloader for your model and run it. It will do a better job of fixing software issues. I know of a few people with problems with their devices and just used link to reload and it didn't work. Used an autoloader and solved the issue.

    The camera module is super cheap on Ebay. I would definitely look at replacing the part yourself.

    Actually, BlackBerry replaced it under factory warranty! Switching devices this weekend, and back in business!


    I did use link to reload the OS. Believe I went to the "preferences " menu, and performed a "wipe".
