I got 4 or 5 Q10 before finally upgrading to Passport SE. It's the best phone out there for its price. Seriously I lost, broke, got stolen my Q10 and I just kept buying another one instead of trying another phone. Finally a month ago I decided to get a Passport SE because it's so hot, but I still have a Q10 for reserve plus a Dev Alpha C which is my favorite of all

Really love small and stable smart phone. Q10.

The Z30 remains fairly expensive for old tech and for use as a backup phone. The Z3 (less RAM, no LTE) is dirt cheap at B&H.

Edit: on the point of the thread, I still love my Q10. I have a number of phones, but the Q10 has the SIM card.

Absolutely, I love my Q10 it's an amazing phone! I love it!. The texting feels so good on this phone, I also have a 9315 though it's not a bad phone, just to small for my big hands. But this Q10 is absolutely amazing! Great job Blackberry!. The other BlackBerry devices look awrsome as well! The classic is looking really good too!.

I think I have had 5 Q10's in total now. I am a pro at changing the keyboards to fix the dble type issue. Its real easy for me now, can almost do it blindfolded. Just got another Q10 and it (to my surprise) doesnt have the double type issue! Its a 9.5/10 only cuz its slightly used. I am seriously thinking of selling it so someone can enjoy it as I just keep it in a drawer and love my Passport too much! I have a brand new BlackBerry holster, 3 batteries, a bundle, original box, usb cable, wall charger and I think a almost brand new case for it, oh and a new flip case too wonder what this whole package is worth now? Anyone??? I might list it for sale in the forum when I get some spare time. Its hard to let go as everytime I sell one, I end up buying another lol

After two and a half years, I am still on my first Q10. I had to replace the keyboard a couple times. Otherwise the phone is perfect.

I think the phone is so serviceable that I do not think I need to buy multiple phones. I could practically replace almost every part of the phone, unless I damage the main board with water.

The phone still feels as good as the first day.

With that many moving parts it's only a matter of time before the physical keyboard fails.

I had an 8810 for years. Never failed me.

Are classics less prone to keyboard issues?

I would not say one is more prone than the other. They are the exact same designs with the slightly different size.

The difference is that the Classic is a lot harder to be serviced on once the keyboard fails.

I have the passport an two q10s. I have to say as much as I love the pp the q10 is I think still my favorite. If only it has the capacitive keyboard it would be perfect.
The q10 is the perfect size for me as I was a diehard webOS palm user to I love little screens. As great as the pp is with its huge screen an spacious keyboard in a way it actually becomes a weakness when trying to hold an use it with one hand and that's what makes the q10 what it is

The trick for me was to stop lifting my fingers like you have to do on the touchscreen. You can just slide your thumbs lightly across the keys. After a while, you won't even have to look before pressing.

I have bought mine about two weeks ago. I have to say I like it very much. Great battery life, great design, great typing experience and keeps me away from stupid apps, that eat my time. Its the real communication device, not a time waster, exactly what I was looking for.
Btw bought another one off ebay for 60, just in case..
