What does it say when the main provider for a device does not show its "flagship devices" even though they are still quite capable of running the said OS that the newer devices (bar the Priv) are running!!

That statement / runt came from the fact that the Q10 and Z10 are not shown as devices on the UK BlackBerry website (Smartphones - New BlackBerry Phones - Latest Smartphones from BlackBerry - United Kingdom ). - well they were not shown when I looked via my mobile 10 minute ago!

Those devices have been out of production for a long time. Why would they be on the website?

Been gone from the US website since maybe last summer, The Z30 was removed I think just a little before the PRIV was launched. But different markets might have had inventory for longer. Chen said the Classic was out of production, but there is no sign they are about to pull it yet.

Yes the Q10 and Z10 ran BB10 just the same as most of the other devcies... as they for the most part were all the same. Only the Z30 and Passport had better components. So BlackBerry could not really do anything with BB10 development that would prevent them from using that chipset in the Classic or LEAP.

Let's be honest, there probably not any of the BB10 devcies still in production, and probably only a matter of a few months before they start disappearing from current outlets. By the end of this year BB10 might be aftermarket only.

I was thinking because they are still devices capable of (and are still) running the same BB10 OS as the other (more recent BB10 Devices)!

Sure, they can all run the same OS, but if there ain't none left to sell, what's the point?

A 1977 Pontiac Grand Prix can still run on today's unleaded gas, but you're not going to find one at your local GM car lot.

OP, it is all about perspective. We tend to over react when it comes to our phones.

When you look at a car dealer's website, do you still see models that are 3 or 4 years old?

Amazingly enough you can still find references to the PlayBook on their website even although they stopped having anything to do with it years ago.

They could redo that geico commercial with "The Final Countdown" but put a Z10 in the microwave instead.

I understand how you feel OP! For me, the Q10 is the "classic" BB10 device. Times change, new models are released, and the older models go into the pages of history...

Sooner or later, the Priv will be ushered into the same pages of history when the Rome comes out.

I always purchase my BlackBerry devices over a year after they've been initially launched due to the cost.
