My Z10 SIM card holder has broken so it needs to be sent away for repairs. During which time I've tried my Bold 9900 and Curve 3G but noticed Blackberry protect doesn't connect to the servers. Is it no longer working on pre OS 10 devices?

Tried to turn on (do not remember turning off) Blackberry Protect on Z10. Get an unavailable message. Looks like it's only for new phone customers.

Did you enable Location Services. If not, reboot device and enable Location then turn on BB PROTECT.

Would be surprised if it isn't available....still listed for OS 7.1 in BBW .

Ditto - all working well on my 9900, daily backups as scheduled and the device can be located/locked etc. via remote web browser.

question: will this work with an ipad?

are the features as well stacked as "Find my iphone?"

I can't see how Blackberry Protect will work on the iPad, it's designed for BlackBerry phones and works with your BlackBerry ID. If you have an iPad better use the 'find my mac' function.
I can't compare features as I don't have an iPhone

If you meant -- can you use an iPad browser to access BlackBerry Protect and control your Bold? It's a yes, you can login via any browser

ya thats what I meant, like I would want to track the stolen 9900 with the ipad and shut it down if I have to.

I'm still suprised my Blackberry bluetooth speaker works with my iphone to play itunes songs on the car speakers.

Yes it works if you have BIS enabled, I suspect you don't if you've moved on to OS10 or alternative platforms.
