    Okay I've given up and will be sending my BlackBerry Passport in to get fixed and pay the $200+. Just wondering if anyone with the same issue has ever been through the process and if they got a new phone. Since it's a motherboard component I'm guessing that they replace the whole thing right?

    Issue with the SIM reader I'm guessing? Might not require complete mobo replacement.

    Recognizes sim cards just fine antenna not picking up signal... does motherboard replacement usually lead to them scrapping the phone or do they just switch out mobos

    Nothing will lead to them scrapping the phone completely - they use every part of the carcass. They may just re solder the aerial connector, or they may have to replace the mobo which is basically a new phone from the standpoint of the software.

    Any help please? Mine seems to pick up other carriers except the one on the damn sim!!

    Mines the same, took it back to cpw and they said it was water damaged because of a little red square inside the plastic cap, never been near any water ever. Everything else works perfect, strange..
