Hi, for what it worth, some of the Blackberry app on Google play store passed to 100.000-500.000 downloads. I don't want to bring back the discussion about those numbers but it's nice to see it grow.

That app was out long before the Priv. Also google numbers don't really equal sales. Tons of threads on that.

I think DTEK is a pretty good indicator since it's only available for Priv (right)?

Maybe those numbers are not so reliable, but I'm pretty sure the Priv will be considered a success(for BB) if its dedicated apps are gonna cross the million mark within the next month ;-)

I meant the new apps for the Priv, not the transfer one. I know there are a lot of threads about correlation between downloads and sales number. I'm not say this, just that the count passed from 10k-50k to 100k-500k.

Transitional period of some apps not being updated yet on more recent sold devices to be counted in the Play Store metrics? People disabling the apps before ever updating them? I disabled a lot of BlackBerry apps before I ever did an app update through the Play Store.

Yeah. And there's no way Google apps would have over a billion downloads when they're pre-installed. The apps have to be counted when they ping the Play Store. It's the only explanation.
