I have changed all the other dark backgrounds to light but cant seem to figure out how to set the call log to light ?

if the ability exists, it's in settings

When you swipe down you'll see settings in that you can find dark background on the top

Graham: it's on Contacts, but Phone or Call Log don't have option to disconnect Dark Theme.

My Z30 always resets back to the dark background.

Not to give any sides to dark vs light background, but for a Z30 and other AMOLED BlackBerry devices, the reason they have a dark background is to increase battery life.
On a AMOLED screen, it doesn't use power to display black.
