If you haven't figured out by the number of posts that I've been posting recently... here's the scoop.

My Z10 wants to retire and I'm only happy to oblige. But being the BB fan that I am... what do you guys recommend.

I'm on VZW so I know I might have to wait for the Priv... but I currently have z30 and classic available for an upgrade on Jan 1st.

What is the general consensus?

The Priv and android OS s the way to go. Use the Z30 till then.

If you are Ok with Android then I would agree with Jaydee. If you want to stick with BB10 then I moved from a Z10 to a Leap and really like it. The Z30 and Passport are also good phones if they appeal to you. I know people with each who are happy with them.

Depends on your use case and how long you intend to keep the phone.

I definitely don't recommend paying full contract price for a Z30 though. Snag a deal however and it's a great phone. Same for Classic so long as you know it may be abandoned soon.

I'm going information a store to at least get a feel for the Priv while I wait for Verizon to release it. I will make a decision then.

For hardware the Priv wins over the Classic IMHO. My Classic is a secondary device not my choice for a daily driver. The Z30 screen and VKB are winners. The Priv OS is still a work in progress in my mind. Not ready to go there just yet but keeping an open mind.

If you like BlackBerry 10 and prefer it over Android (have you used both?) then I would suggest a Z30 or maybe even the Leap outright if it will operate on Verizon. I purchased the Classic on the recent sale and it's build quality is excellent and the PKB is devine. This being said if you are used to an all touch and the fluid swiping gesture and the most excellent BlackBerry VKB then the Z30 or Leap.

Z10 on 10.3.2
