OK ready to do some apps on my new Z30. First I have to get SNAP from what I have read. Not quite sure how to do this yet.

What cool apps have you guys found ? Looking for suggestions. Personally I am not a gamer.

Looking for say - weather, police scanner, the app that will display the name of a song you are listening to etc... Any good encryption, security apps. would be appreciated if there are any that would enhance the phone.

This is my very first smart phone so I am not familiar with what is available although I know the list is never ending.

Weather Radar USA (Blackberry World) is very good if you live in USA or in Canada near the USA-Canada border. Blackberry Travel is good (Blackberry World) , Weather (BW) is a very simple but fast app. and Snap of course is at : Snap - Red Light Of Love, Ltd. but it must be sideloaded (search Craackberry forum for instructions). Hope this helps and enjoy!

My recommendations from BlackBerry World would be:

    BlackBerry Travel
    BeWeather Pro
    SoundHound (like Shazam, but native)
Nobex (local radio station and podcast streamer)
Ghost Commander (Android port customised for BlackBerry)
    PrintHand (Android Port)

    From an Android store:

    Office Mobile

For standard encryption, just encrypt your device. For mail encryption, PGP is supported on EAS emails.

Navfree (offline maps/ no data plan needed. )
App ninja (not necessary but informative)
Weather radar if you live in the states.
Tutanota (secure email-android port installed via snap)

Best one of the bunch is 'Bookmark pro' Wouldn't be without it!

As for Android apps - I purchased Accuweather. It shows when it will rain in the next 120 minutes or when it will stop raining. It can show minute by minute, hourly and long range forecasts and can show radar maps.

For purchase, I'm not sure if SNAP will work. Not sure on this. You may have to install Cobalt's Google Play store. Peakfinder if you are into hiking can show horizon peaks per your location.

Backup Pro.. backs up most stuff to BOX
    Flixster
Soundhound. had to mention that again.
Convertly. Kinda of a strange interface but converts almost everything including currency.

Flixster is actually no longer in BlackBerry World. If you still have it installed, do you have the link for it since sometimes that will allow it to be re-installed...

Native apps (BlackBerry OS 10) from BBW (BlackBerry World) , android ports from snap as BBW does not refresh the port apps so sometimes it contains very old versions...
I have snap and Google play too, but prefer snap as it downloads the apk file first, so I can have all the previous versions if needed.

There's a thread re snap install, did you find it?

Play Store automatically downloads the apk file to your downloads folder, even if it is a purchased app (if you paid for it). Just in case you didn't know.

Check out the free version of Umbrella (I recommend you upgrade to paid version if you like it). BeWeather Pro just wasn't accurate for my location. Weather Radar USA is a must have.

BeMaps Pro along with BlackBerry Maps and Maps.Me are the perfect mapping apps for my needs.

ClipMan (#1), VocaBuilder (#2), Password Keeper (#3), BlackBerry Travel (#4) and Ultimate Backup (#5)

*All BlackBerry World Apps (Pandora is my only android app). I have many other recommendations but I don't want to overwhelm you. Welcome to CrackBerry!

Sorry, no I don't. I've had this since my early Z10 days. I just checked flixster.com and their blackberry link brings up an unknown. I do see it on Amazon appstore.

Weather Radar USA, News, Neutron. WRU shows dynamic view of cells as they move. News includes multiple sources. Neutron has sophisticated UI. Similar Android apps are lame.😒

Printhand works great. It has gone a long way towards making my phone my primary document handling device.

Just yesterday I had a few documents that I printed directly from the Z30.

AccuWeather or Be Weather for weather.

Blackberry Travel is terrific and I will miss it.
