Just picked up a new Sprint 9930 phone. It came with OS version 7.1 Bundle 921 (v7.1.0.267) on it.

I found on Crackberry the link to load the latest Spring OTA update which is 7.1.0.580. In order to get the ability to set different color LEDs for your messages, you need 7.1.0.746, so I'd like to load this version or later (if it exists for the 9930).

is it possible to load a newer 9930 specific OS on the phone without going thru Sprint's OTA service? The only reason I want to do this is so I can set different LED colors for my messages.
(I went to Blackberry's download site and they don't list the 9930...)
