I have an old BB 7230 from before I retired that I still used simply as a phone until recently.

I havn't backed it up for years and would like to download a copy of Desktop Manager V4.2.2 as starters.
Recently I inherited from my daughter an old BB Bold 9700 and have installed the software for backing that up on my laptop. Indeed HOPED to transfer the contacts from the old 7230 to the 9700 but while it recognised and indeed I thought had backed it up , when I simply did the backup, I was disappointed at thye transfer stage to have the software say "unrecognised BB device" and would not do a transfer.

Is it possible?? ...I am in Sydney, Australia.

There's no such thing as impossible!! It's just a matter of figuring out how!!!

    www blackberry.com

At the top of the page click on software and you'll see this. Click on it and down load it! In fact, just click this link and your there
Just do everything upside down and you should be fine.
