BRY you want to kill your native development ? Then just sink as plenty of other Android manufacturers!
    Then you'll understand...

Android Runtime for BlackBerry 10 BlackBerry 10 will continue to support the current release of the Android Runtime (ART) and packaging tools to create a .bar file to submit to BlackBerry World. There are no plans to remove the Android Runtime from BlackBerry 10.
That's good news, at least for those staying on BB10 and skipping the Priv.

BB is just buying time until the Android-berry can receive all of the Security Certifications that are in BB10. Then they will slowly transition their enterprise/gov't customers to the Android-berry whether it be the Priv or a much newer device in the near future.

That was the most depressing reassurance I've read in years. Basically the "good" news is nothing is changing which is also very bad news.

Well no. They announced they are supporting developers... as long as they build for Android. And won't be updating any SDK's except for any unexpected barebones updates for security patches.

... which is kind of what we all knew. It's just lip service, at least they get an E for effort this time
