personally, I like the current browser more than anything else. But other people seem to like Opera Mini.

as for the 9500 and 9530, I believe the only difference is that that 9500(UK version) is CDMA only. the US version has a handful of radios (CDMA, GSM, etc.) which allows it to be used in more countries. I've heard that the processor is a little faster in the 9500, but not sure about that.

The 9500 is GSM only. The 9530 is both CDMA and GSM.

9500 is gem only with a 624mHz processor, whereas the 9530 is CDMA only and has 400mHz(somewhere around there)

no...there are the same phone except 9500 has the CDMA capabilities locked out basically. The processors are the same speed though. You bumped a 2 year old thread with completely wrong info. wow

The 9500 has 3G GSM (no hsdpa) capabilities in Europe and EDGE in America on GSM networks like AT&T
The 9530 is a CDMA radio version, that doesn't have GSM as YOU NEED A SIM FOR GSM YOU ****!
Also, the 9500 is running MSM76000 it think which IS @600Mhz,
The 9530 has a CDMA chip as the GSM version of ARM isn't compatible with CDMA networks, which is much weaker @400, gsmarena bases it's spec's on american announcements. FAIL.

And don't argue with me, I have too much free time so it's completely hopeless.

Well I guess I'm seeing things because I'm looking at my 9530 right now and I clearly see a SIM card in it.

They are the same phone hardware wise!

They are capable of the same thing, the 9500 has CDMA funcitions locked by software. They have no ESN basically.

the 9530 is the CDMA version....it has an ESN. It can also do GSM, its a world phone, it can be unlocked.

It does do HSPA at the 2100MHz band....in the USA most carriers don't use that frequency, but in Europe and other places they do. I think Tmobile in the US runs some 2100 MHz but I don't know if a 9530 will use it correctly. Does anyone know? Anyone run a 9530 on Tmobile?

sure, your all right... don't care... my bb storm 9500 is busted so using a palm pre, i miss the bb but anything than that storm... as soon as there's openGL/3D gaming capabilities i'm back in.

we shouldn't be having this argument anyway, if your getting a bb get a torch/bold, storm can't do anything they can't if not less, only worse battery
