I noticed my battery gets drained fast? Not drained but it goes out in a quick pace. Like I leave my phone idle and locked for 1hr at 88% then come back at 78 with the WiFi on and I don't have any opened apps

What has recently changed with the phone? Did you install new apps? Update any apps? Uninstall them one-by-one to see if battery use changes. Did you change any sync settings?

    Check Settings>App Manager>Device Monitor
    What is using the Battery/CPU?

I had some Android apps, that I had to down-grade due to the updated version draining my battery.

None I only have twitter facebook igrann. I updated to 10.3.2 os lately.

Does it affect the fact that I charged it on a powerbank last night?
But my power bank has good quality tho I even charge my iPad on it. It adjusts on the voltage u need to charge your device. I'm just not sure if it's really the powerbank thougH

I don't use Twitter or Facebook (just a private kind of guy) but maybe I'm thinking that you have them setup to check for posts or status updates too often? Even though you are on Wifi, connecting to Facebook and Twitter too often for updates may be the problem?

Maybe I should log out from my social media accounts when not in use.
    I'll try that. Thanks

Yes log out or as mentioned, check the refresh rate on those apps and consider going to manual refresh.

Hi, how do you do a refresh or a manual refresh? I'm really new to BlackBerry 10

    Thanks for your reply.

As double_fault mentioned, maybe manual refresh would be the thing to do. I don't have those apps but I'm sure someone else will be able to help you to set them up to use less battery.

Good idea. I'm not on FB but Twitter is considerably battery draining I find. Also check your sync options especially email. If you don't need your email checked every 30 minutes change it to 1 hour. I find it makes a difference.

I'm turning of any push notifications for my email. And turned off all the apps running in background even if it's closed... I'll observe the difference. Thanks.
I also turn off my WiFi when I'm not using it

    Thanks,!

I'd been having a battery problem on mine too and my Q5 was warm which is unusual. I had it off and in a drawer for a couple months and when I powered it on, installed a bunch of apps right away, none Android tho. Was noticing some big battery drains by system and pim services. Did the same as above, shut off push email, set apps not to run in BG, and changed sync in account settings which brought pim down but system was still high. Did a normal reset, volume reset, and even a 3-key reset; which I didn't even know would work on BB10 but did and have no idea if it's safe to do even.

System still seemed high. Found I'd moved my SD card around between devices maybe too much.. Moved all the contents of SD card to pc, formatted it on Q5, then moved back the files I wanted to keep. All seems okay now

What's the difference between a volume and 3-key reset?

How's my battery looking? I didn't use it much today and yet, it seems it drains quite quickly with my minimal usage. I probably used it, at most an hour and half today. Z30STA100-2/10.3.2.2789 on Rogers LTE and WiFi. Probably, since this screen shot was taken, half LTE, and half WiFi.

idk but it's a way to reset legacy devices using the keypad. I used it on my Curve and it works on the Q5 too. Can't see your attachment on my end tho..

I've had my Q5 for two weeks now and the battery has been stellar. I charge it overnight. One time I didn't the battery didn't last as long. Take that for what it's worth.

Well, with the phone's age the ability to hold charge goes away....the phone works just fine with power saving mode switched on...And try using a samsung charger...no offence as it has paved a way for me
