If you're on Telus, I would recommend looking for the SQR100-1, as the SQR100-2 lacks the requisite LTE bands.

So, will it work at all? 3G or 4G?

Don't get that one if you live in North America, it would be 3G only. You would need the SQR100-1. The SQR100-2 is better suited for the UK.

Actually, the SQR100-2 should be ok for Rogers/Fido in a lot of native markets.

The Q10 Rogers primarily sold to its customers was the SQN100-3--the ROW model. And the SQR100-2 has the same bands as the SQN100-3. So if someone bought a Q10 from Rogers and it was the -3 or knows that Rogers sold the -3 locally, it stands to reason that Rogers felt their band 7 LTE network was good enough around you.

FWIW, Bell also has a band 7 LTE network. But they have stuck to the NA models.

Raino, I respect your opinion and almost always agree with you. But in this case, In Canada it may work for some carriers but in the US, the SQR100-2 has NO LTE bands that are in use with GSM carriers. HSPA+ is the best it would do.

Right. I didn't say anything about the US. I was more responding to a previous comment that was saying it isn't a good choice for North America as a whole.

Well, crap - if this worked in the U.S. on LTE I'd scoop at least one up for one of the kids (who would *love* to have the red Q5) ... but since it doesn't, I won't.
