My step daughter has put a passcode lock on a blackberry bold 9780 and has forgotten what it is. There is some data and photos we need to get off the phone. Is there a way to reset the passcode or remove it without losing the data on the phone?
    Thanks

Not really.... that would tend to negate BlackBerry's security.
Have a long sit down and go over what the password may be, but do not keep trying the wrong one or it will force a security wipe.

    Short answer: No.

    Long answer:

From the Blackberry 9780 User Guide:

"If you forget your BlackBerry device password, it can't be recovered. You can reset your password without knowing your current password by deleting all your device data.
Research In Motion recommends that you regularly create and save a backup file on your computer, especially before you update any software. Maintaining an up-to-date backup file on your computer might allow you to recover device data if your device is lost, stolen, or corrupted by an unforeseen issue."
