    I have recently upgraded from BB Curve to BB Classic and I want to keep my BBM pin so I can keep in contact with my bbm contacts.

    If you are using Bbm version 7 and above the contact is tied with bbid

    Your pin is tied to the device, you switch devices, you switch pins. It is not tied to your bbid. Now when you sign in to your BlackBerry ID, your contacts should come over to your new device.
