Thanks for asking! I am a heavy user of the Priority Hub.

    Here's how I use it.

We're all pretty busy on a typical work day. Here's who gets through on the Priority Hub

    1. My wife
    2. My staff at work
    3. My tennis buddies (drinking buddies)
    4. A few of my really good friends
    5. A couple of key business related e-mail senders.

The rest can wait till I do a manual checks of the Hub twice a day at noon and after dinner.

All others are relegated to the main Hub, silent, no LED .

That's just my way, but I can tell you that it really removes the distractions during day and greatly improves my productivity.

It's an unloved aspect of BB10

    It's my Secret Weapon.

How many emails do you get a day from people outside this list?

On a ratio basis, around 1 message on Priority Hub compared to 5 relegated to regular Hub.
