LCD shattered, camera crushed and housing bent in corner.. mainboard still works fine.

Yikes! Sorry this happened. It's always sad seeing such a lovely device take a beating like that.

You mean the phone was really working INTERNALLY and conveyed stuff to Blend? That shows a form of resilience pretty much unexpected after a 100 foot drop.

With you next phone, get an otterbox and try the same drop again. Curious to see how it holds up

Oh may god does it still work?

I figured I would say that before some bumass posted it.
Sorry to hear that happened. At least your can purchase one cheap to replace it. That's what I would do before going through the trouble of replacing the screen and camera then having something else not working.

I dropped my Q10 from 25 feet and didn't have anything happen to it. Luckily. The phone did freeze up and wouldn't do anything but I did a restart at it came back to life. Haven't drop my Z30 yet.

That's one tough phone! Wow! I've got one too. Happy to know that it can fall that far and still keep it's heart beating.

$99 in parts and fully operational... plus a spare battery now.

Had to replace the crushed rear camera and just used a Z10 module... works fine.

    Glad to hear.

My Fiance just broke her z30 yesterday, literally ONE DAY after I removed her Otterbox to vinyl wrap it...she didn't last one day without a case lol!

Looks like it just needs an LCD swap - this thread reaffirms my confidence .
