T-Mobile Wants BlackBerry Users To Come Back To The Un-Carrier : PERSONAL TECH : Tech Times

T-Mobile is now running a new campaign in the U.S., aiming to convince more BlackBerry users to come to its network.

BlackBerry and T-Mobile have had somewhat of a rocky relationship when it comes to their partnership in the U.S., but the two companies have worked it out and put aside their differences.

The new campaign further proves the resolution of an older dispute between BlackBerry and T-Mobile, after the two companies severed their ties last year. Back in February 2014, T-Mobile started a campaign encouraging users to ditch their BlackBerry devices in favor of an iPhone. BlackBerry was not so happy about that, and its response already spelled trouble for the business relationship the two companies had going on.

Bit of a half-hearted effort if you ask me, but better than nothing.

For sure Bull Hockey on TMo stopping BB phone selling, FWIW: I've been on Tmo since 2008 and had four BB's before a hiatus with Nexus 4 before coming back to Z30 then Passport, service where I'm at has been good 4G. Brought my wife to Tmo from ATT for $90 per month for both of us, unlimited text, unlimited data, no roaming charges for data nor cellular, and 1000 anytime minutes. If they jump on slider it will be a good thing.

If T-Mobile were serious they would have 10.3.2 out for the Z10, Q10, Z30 and WiFi calling. But it's a start.

From my point of view: although I was unhappy when BlackBerry and T-Mo decided to not play nice together, it forced me to purchase my UNLOCKED Classic that works just fine on T-Mo. Best part? I don't have to wait for carrier upgrades. So 'thanks T-Mo!' I've got my great phone without carrier c*ap.

    What a CLASSIC!

As a long time T Mobile customer, I am hoping if the new slider is released they will promote the device and I will be one of the first to buy it. Only time will tell.

When you buy a Android powered BlackBerry......

I imagine this move to go to Android has been going on longer than we know. It wasn't BlackBerry that T-Mobile didn't like, it was supporting another operating system.

It will probably be an AT&T exclusive. . I hope not but BB tends to repeat its mistakes.

If BB goes the Android way, they need to make sure that there is a methodology not to be tied into the Google system. I have worked hard to stay away from their clinches. I prefer to be an independent.

If this is true then only reason is they probably have an agreement to sell the new slider and it maybe sold exclusively through Tmobile.

Why else would they want BlackBerry users. We'll see once the slider comes out.
