Please help, this Adware slows down my browser, makes the phone really hot and I cannot click on any links. Clearing cookies and restarting phone did not help

    Is this for real?

This is the second time in like a month that I've seen a BlackBerry user get their BlackBerry device infected with bad stuff. The first one was infected with ransomware and now adware? What are you security conscious BlackBerry users doing?

I've never heard of the adware you're infected with and I hope it is easy for you to remove. Hopefully you learn a lesson from the experience. The simple step of not installing things from untrusted sources goes a long way in preventing bad stuff like this happening.

    Good luck!

I'd have to question the legitimacy of this as well. I have javascript popups all the time, site redirects that go to blank pages or ad infested websites, I use apk files from sketchy app stores, I download torrents from sketchy torrent sites, I have used cracked android apps. I have done everything possible to infect my BlackBerry with all kinds of malware and viruses and NOTHING has gotten through. Think these posts are nothing but bs.

It's happening on all websites and I haven't installed an app ever since I got 10.3.2. The last thing I did was reinstall n4bb app

I don't even know how or if that's possible lol. I mean, I open shady stuff on my device intentionally because I know it can't get infected.

It's more probable that something between your phone and the Internet get infected. Did you use a proxy ? I bet you have issue only on Wi-Fi, right ?

Router malware exists and it's nasty, as your PC virus checker or anti malware can't see it or fix it

Ya, pretty much. There's no real indication of it ever going mobile - https://www.google.ca/search?q=Jabut...jabuticaba+ads

Is it happening on both WiFi and Mobile network?
If the answer is just WiFi then your router might have been infected. Which might change your DNS server. Try resetting your router to the default settings and or change the DNS server to a trusted one.

I'm having the same problem with my Passport, but mostly on Kijiji.

To answer some of the other questions in this thread, I'm not using a proxy or WiFi - browsing on my cellular network. I'm not using any special browser. My popup blocker is turned on. I'm a very security conscious user; I haven't had a virus on my PC in years, and haven't been doing anything shady on my phone. The only thing I've installed in months is the OS update to 10.3.2.2226.

Using the private browser prevents the Jabuticaba popup, but it also prevents kijiji from displaying pictures, which makes it pretty useless to me.

I've never tried to remove malware from a BlackBerry; I don't even know where to start. Any suggestions?
