I've looked around (and yes, searched) but haven't found anything -- anybody know when a Storm-compatible version of Vlingo is coming out? If any device would <3 a speech-to-text app, it's this one (substantially safer to text while driving that way haha).

Barring that, are there apps that approximate Vlingo functionality that are Storm compatible?

Yeah - I've been looking for this too. Even emailed their customer support and they haven't even bothered to reply !!

I have installed it and it will not go through the setup process. I can assign the left or right key fine, but when you test it it will not record....

Same here... Could map the key but not record.

hmmm...I'm pretty sure I told it I was installing on a Bold, but I honestly can't remember. As for unlocking the key, I just followed the onscreen prompts and it...well...just worked. no skill on my part, as this is my first blackberry. sorry I can't be more help!

I had to do the following:

Go to Options - Advanced Options - Applications
Press Vlingo but don't click....press BB (menu) button
Disable Compatability Mode

Same as above, instead of Disable Compatability mode now Edit Perrmissions,
Scroll down to Interactions, Recording, Set to Allow

Had it on for a week. Works great. New to bb and vlingo so nothing to compare to but like it so far.

Just read the privacy policy (yes, actually read it). Looks like a cool app, but they collect way to much info for my liking...deleting it now. You may want to read the policy on this one...

got to permisions and set record to allow, then it will work Also make sure you turn off compatibility mode

Vlingo was not fully working (i.e. couldn't use the "call ____" function"), until I updated to the new OS. Now it seems to work fine.

I downloaded as OS 4.6 and everything worked perfectly fine.

Don't forget to disable compatibility mode.
