    Husband drowned his galaxy 5. Can we use the mini SIM card from the galaxy in his old BB Torch 9800, which used the long SIM card?

    AT&T is our carrier.

    A SIM adapter should enable the SIM to work in your Torch. There are caveats when doing that. Search "sim adapter" to find relevant discussion threads. It might be less hassle if you get the correct SIM from an AT&T store or authorized retailer. AT&T has never charged me for replacement SIMs. Reminder: the Torch requires BIS for full BlackBerry function.
