Hey everyone, so this might have been asked before, but I looked through the threads and none of them answered my question, or they veered to something else.

    I have a TMO branded phone. It's a BBZ10. I haven't received any updates, at all.

I checked it, and then I found out 10.3.2 is already coming out and I still don't even have 10.3.1.

I need the update so I can finally use the Amazon App store, for which I need certain apps that don't work when side loaded. Unfortunately, I need 10.3 to get the ones I want to actually work.

I will not do it with an auto loader or anything like that, because I don't want my phone to get wiped or anything.

Okay, so basically I am asking people with a T-Mobile branded phone if they've received an update. For the Z10. I already know the Classic should've gotten it.

How do I get this update? I have 10.2 and my phone says it is the latest, even though in June T-Mobile supposedly approved the 10.3.2 update.

I'm wondering when it'll come, if some people have already gotten it, how they got it, etc.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I read through your other thread. Just use one of the blitz updates from the leak section. G_d knows when T-Mo will officially release a new OS. Make a backup first, just in case, but it would be odd if something went wrong.

I have two Z10s on T-mo. One running last 10.2 they released, one that I loaded with 10.3.2 myself. So, you can DIY but you will kill wifi-calling. Or you can wait and see if they release an updated 10.3.2 (as designed for the Classic) but which will allow wifi-calling. Since I need wifi-calling, I'm waiting.

Yeah. But I don't need WiFi-Calling, I've never used it so I don't really need to wait for that. I just don't want my phone to get wiped.

I'll go ahead and flip through the section for now.

    Use this:

Blitz nondestructive 10.3.2.2339 (SR 10.3.2.2226) for all device (not Z10-01 &Z3) - BlackBerry Forums at CrackBerry.com

Or look at the other blitz installs within that subforum. All you'll need is to install Sachesi (top of the Leak forum), and as I said before, a backup for safety. It installs just like an OTA from your carrier would. No wipe, no muss, no fuss.

Very true, but the OP is looking for a carrier upgrade, which now will inevitably be 10.3.2, and it's worth it for the low light camera enhancements alone imo.

after seeing the blog post about verizon updating all their devices, i shot john legere a tweet asking how he could let verizon pass them up supporting thier phones and posted the link to the cb story. doubt it will do much but made me feel good. maybe if enough of us do that, it might get his attention?

-10.3.1 was "lost" in the break-up.
-10.3.2 was only released by TMO for the Classic.
-They're probably waiting on WFC to push it. It's one thing to push a WFC-less update to a phone that never had it (Classic,) and to break it in others (Z10, Q10.)

Let's hope they don't go "mandatory" on us. But as Raino mentioned, hard to think they would zap WFC on existing phones. I am being "offered" 10.3.2 on my unbranded Z10, not forced. Which I will not update as my WFC is essential.

I figured it would have been out already because of the law that requires phones to have kill switches as of July 1st. If the phone's OS can be updated, then that phone should add a kill switch protection feature (BlackBerry Protect or whatever it's called). It's here in CA, but for those not in California I figure that T-Mobile will send the update to all phones as the official one.

Wouldn't that make it somewhat mandatory?

BlackBerry Protect has always been included with BB10. WFC is the most likely reason for delay.

Mandatory is when you have no choice, it installs itself.

That was my interpretation as well, but I was discussing this with another CBer and he made some very strong arguments about the requirement being there only for phones still being sold.

It's mandatory for them to provide it (if your phone doesn't meet the exception criteria,) but isn't mandatory for you to install it, despite what Verizon and AT&T may think.

Well, that appears to be what the carriers are indeed doing -- at least at&t and Verizon. Mandatory means the only way you can stop it updating is to not use your phone. From what I've been reading.
