    I liked my coverage indicator on my old SonyEricsson GSM phone, but i find the status light on the BBerry is too bright. I do however like that it has one for messages, emails, etc...

    I never turned mine on. I just don't see the point. Plus I thought it was a drain on the battery.

    I have mine on for the same reasons as the others, locating my BB in darkness. As far as battery drain, it's gonna be minimal. Just an led (extremely small power drain) on and off.

    I could never stand the constant flashing! I've got sensitive eyes, so the bright flash just doesn't cut it for me! The migraines can be a bi*ch!! This is why I'm anal about not letting the battery get low to where the light starts flashing.

    I leave mine just cause it reminds me of my old nextels can't say I've noticed a lot of extra battery drain tho
