I just started a new month and it eats up 11.8 MB in a few hours. Does anyone know what is going on here?

You consider 11MB a lot? I suppose it is compared to what mine is normally running at which is 77kb. Do you even have any Android apps installed that you're using?

The first obvious question is what particular Android apps do you have installed?

EDIT: Not all Android apps show up under Android Player for mobile data usage. EG: On my phone it breaks out Google Maps, iMDB, TV Show Favs, Plex, etc. separately. I'm 2/3 through my billing cycle and Android Player for me lists at 4.9 MB.

I don't concider 11MB a lot, but in the context of a single day that's a lot. Also I have a limit of 1/2 a gig of high speed data

I currently have google maps, Firefox, Memrise, Wikipedia, an android game called Seven Castles, NJ rails, MetroNorth, Zedge, a task manager, the android app for managing my account with my wireless provider, one note, and cobalts google play installed.

Today I used Memrise (it's a language learning program), the Taskmanager, and the app for my wireless provider.

    Feb 5 - Mar 4/13MB/ out of a total of 54MB
    Mar 5 - Apr 4/ 6MB/ out of a total of 522MB
    Apr 5 - May 4/ 48MB/ out of a of total of 500MB
    May 5 - May 5/ 11.4 MB/ out of a total of 35MB

It seems to have no correlation with my overall data usage.

Is there a way to see the date for the installation of each app?

It's probably a process of elimination. I personally DON'T HAVE Memrise, Seven Castles, NJ Rails Metro North, One Note or Zedge installed on my phone.

If I had to guess, I'd pick Seven Castles. Does it show up separately on your mobile data? If not, it's lumped into "Android Player".

Sometimes Android applications get their wireless / wifi traffic associated with Android Player. If you don't see a separate entry for it, it will be lumped in with it.

Sometimes you can fix this if you uninstall and re-install the app (this is really only applicable if you had the application installed prior to upgrading to 10.3.0/10.3.1). Some apps though always get categorized under Android Player.

I am not sure, but I think through App Ops you can restrict internet access for specific apps and AP itself.

I'll check each individual app and see if it shows up, so far Seven Castles does

It enables you to run Android apks. So it is apk that uses the data traffic. So it is Android's fault.
