Hey folks my texting seems to be so slow. When I hit a contact to respond to it takes forever to bringing up our past conversation. Or when I try typing the words they don't even appear for like 15-20 seconds!

I did a battery pull but still same issue. Doesn't give me a problem bbming only texting. So frustrating.

If the thread has a lot of messages, which is obvious if you are texting a person everyday, all the time, then, that thread freezes, some word you type gets typed after 5-10 seconds and sometimes sending also takes a lot of time to complete.
About BBM, if you open a BBM thread of a contact in the HUB you've had long conversations with, then when you open that thread from HUB, it takes time to load all the messages until you can see the last message. But when you open the BBM app, this is not a problem.
I guess it's the HUB that has issues, and since texting is directly integrated with the HUB, has issues too.
I've had two threads related to this and two threads related to Wi-Fi connectivity issues. I hope all this is fixed soon. The OS is laggy and unstable. 10.2.1 was stable, hope 10.3.1 is stable too soon.

If you have a bunch of issues that very few others have, do a security wipe. Would it be better if a wipe wasn't necessary? Yes. Will you be happy you did it? Yes.

Definitely 100 % not the answer I'd like to hear. That's kind of like asking someone back in the day to do a battery pull but x 1000.

    Cheers

Now none of my text messages are showing up.

If I hit a contact to reply all fields are blank even to the person I would like to respond too. Very strange!

Anyone have any fix or experience this issue?

    Cheers

I have posted about this before too. The issue, IMHO, is the indexing of SMS/MMS messages get's screwed up when your text conversation has a lot of MMS messages in it. If you have a pure SMS conversation it seems to work without a hitch. If you are texting to someone with an iphone which sends out MMS all the time, then your text conversation starts to lag big time. I make sure I often delete text conversations to avoid this. If you have several long text conversations then they affect each other not just the one conversation. Purge the conversations out and you should see a dramatic improvement. If it is hung up it just takes time, restarting your phone just makes it take longer.

    good luck

From the HUB just press hold on the conversation then hit the delete option form the side menu.
I would do this with any conversations that you think may be too lengthy.
It may take a while to delete it then clean up the indexing.

A restart after it's done would probably help too. Give it some time though before the restart.

    Try this first:
    Open device monitor
    Find BlackBerry blend
Close it in the device monitor.

If this doesn't work, you have no choice but to reload your OS.
It's a rare problem, but it has always happened and used to happen very often to me on 10.2

I had the same problem with my z10 on what may have been a similar OS number, after installing a leak shortly after I never experienced the problem again
