I got my first blackberry EVER (pink pearl 8130!!!) just yesterday! Today I was playing with it.. trying to get over the "learning curve" to the point where I love it. I kept getting The Spinning Hourglass and I researched (here on CB.com, of course) and found out it could be a memory thing. The only things I have added are Google Maps and a couple of free ringtones from here on CB.com. I DO have a memory stick and it's set to accept my new pictures. There are some pictures from my old phone, but I believe they are on my stick (any way to check?)

My FILEFREE number is only 757818. It was ZERO at one point, but I took the battery out and put it back in and I got 9 million something (still low according to my research). It's going down and I don't know why... haven't done anything but obsessively check my filefree.

Thank you SO MUCH in advance. I look forward to getting past the "figuring it all out" stage and firmly into ADDICT

is there an update for the phone through your carrier? you can check by going to blackberry and updating to 4.5 that should give you an insane amount more memory....give it a few days to settle down....it took me about 2 weeks to REALLY settle into mine. But if its dropping to 0 that not a good thing.....if its suspect take it back and get a replacement.

It is not a very good idea to try and upgrade the OS until you are very familiar with the berry. If you do decide to upgrade please make sure you read everything that you can or else you may nuke your berry. Here is a little help. http://forums.crackberry.com/f3/prop...ocedure-53359/ and http://forums.crackberry.com/f35/cra...eleased-52044/

    Thanks...

I ended up calling verizon and the tech department told me how to update to 4.5. I still only have 14 million. I don't understand. I deleted all the other languages and I did the cache/cookies thing...

Do you think it's just defective?
