hi. i'm new here so please help me. i accidentally got my phone (blackberry 9220) submerged in water and was in an area where i cant put it in dry rice or silica gel. so what i did was quickly take the battery and SIM card out of the device and then put it on top of a towel. then as i got home the day after, i put it in dry rice and silica gel for another 24 hrs but it still wont work. i tried swapping batteries with another device but it still wont work and i need the files in my mobile phone. by files i mean the contacts and those notes that i saved. anyone please. thanks

only way to get those back is to boot the phone and backup. Sorry man. SOunds like you are out of luck. I would keep it in rice for three or four days.

yes i realize i'd have to backup my files. that's my problem i cant. i have it in the rice now but i doubt it will boot again. i tried using another battery with the broken device it still wont turn on. when i put the battery back in the working device, the battery was drained although it was charged when i tested it. god this is frustrating
