Went to Sprint and of course they don't give a damn since I didn't buy their scam insurance. Should I try going through sprint.com or try another Sprint store (the other ones nearby are "sales only" shops).

You didn't say what the problem was. The answer might suggest a course of action.

Warranty is becoming a problem from what i see.
I have a curve phone, send in for repair in August...
Guess what, nor bbry or the company which handled the issue know where the device is...
They say : weve send it in for repair @BlackBerry but did not get it back. When i contact BlackBerry, they can't find anything about it -.-

Yeah it's only a curve, but that doesn't matter.

Oh sorry it's a Q10 with the double-typing issue. So far only 2 letters.

If you're outside of your basic Sprint warranty, you may wish to look into getting the part yourself. Apparently the newer built keyboards are less prone, and the installation is quite simple. If you have the part in hand, your local phone shop could do it for you easily too.

I wish I had the link to a thread here talking about that. Maybe try searching the forums.

I was thinking about it. I'll check into new keyboard prices and give it a shot.

I had a similar thing happen to my Bold 9930 recently. A brand new keyboard from eBay was about $10 bucks.

Yes I just saw one for $10 on Amazon. And found some how-to videos. Hopefully I can manage it. It doesn't look too difficult.

Awesome! Only took me about 5 minutes to swap mine out. It did require some weird torx bit for the screwdriver, but I already have a set of drivers and tools for computers, cellphones, etc. Check to see what kind of screwdrivers you need, and if you don't have a set of proper tools, you can get sets of like 40+ tips for about $10 bucks on amazon also.

You're so lucky! My Q10 is fine. Had something broke, I would totally bling it out with these parts:

    blackberry q10

Gold backing, white keys with gold frets and leave the black sides!

Ok thanks I will have to check and see what I have. I have a bunch of bits but I may end up needing to grab more.

If you have no insurance they will service your phone but you will be charged $75. Blackberry gives you a 1 year manufacturer warranty. Within that year they will service your phone for warranty issues, You will need to send it in though.

You can do a swap to another phone and then swap back and add the $5 service and repair feature. Takes 15 min to provision on your account. Then you can take it to a service and repair center and if they think it's warranted they will order an exchange even outside 1 year manufacturers warranty.

Actually it is open enrollment so you can add it without a swap until end of this month.
