I can get my email through Google but can't get the app on playbook it won accept it iv never had so much hassle to do a simple thing

the google apps are android based. They don't work well on BB's.

You can just add your Gmail account to the native email app. It works fine.

As the above poster said, adding Gmail and yahoo mail for that matter is a simple affair. I have had Gmail on both of my playbooks.

As stated above. Add account on your Playbook. My email and calendar sync fine.

You may have two stage account verification turned on at Google's end. You will have to turn this off to receive Gmail email into the Playbook email program. I have two gmail accounts, an outlook.com account and enterprise email all syncing to my PB without issue.

You can actually create a special password if you have 2 step authentication setup for the PlayBook. Just get on Google and search for it. That's how I did it. Works great for me.

You need to log into Google on pc and go setting then find 'allow access for less secure apps' then all Google things work on PlayBook
