This morning I woke up to an unresponsive Z10. Did everything I could to revive it...NOTHING. So I made my way to the Verizon store and ordered a BlackBerry Z30. I was dreading going in thinking I would be pressured into an iPhone or Android. Thankfully, that was not the case. Can't wait for my new BlackBerry to arrive.

Came from a Z10 also and the Z30 is like the Z10 on steroids!! I've only had a few weeks and this thing is awesome! Wasn't sure how I would do with the size difference but it's a definite positive. Perfect size for an awesome work tool! Enjoy it!!!

Bigger screen. Much better battery life. USB OTG. Ability to Miracast video stream to my TV without a cord. Liked my Z10, but my Z30 much better.

Went from an unlocked Z10 to an unlocked Z30, both bought at Blackberry store.

Only had one paid app to worry about, Vault for passwords. Imported the necessary .csv file. (I wouldn't recommend Vault in OS 10.3 and am looking for a replacement password manager.)

Phone contacts imported by Z30 from US TMobile site.

Email contacts imported by Z30 when I set up my Microsoft Live account on that phone.

Sorry if the above isn't of much help to you. Hope you receive one or more much more informative responses.

There's not too much of a transition to make: Most of your photos, music etc will transfer on your SD card. Use SMS Backup to restore any SMS backup you might have from your Z10, then restore to your Z30. Export all of your available contacts to some sort of online account (M$ outlook.com works well for me), then sync the Z30 with that account.

If you have a lot of stuff in a BlackBerry Link backup file, maybe someone else can advise how best to restore that?

I tend to avoid restoring those whole-device backups between OS versions (or hardware models), I don't trust the backwards compatibility...

Went from Z10 to Z30 in December. Like the bigger screen. Used BlackBerry Link to move stuff over. Worked fine.

I got Z30 after 18 months of using Z10 which was flawless. I just wanted a bigger and newer phone and I have absolutely no regrets about switching to Z30. It's an outstanding phone and it's as flawless as Z10 was.
