    Hi,

    I am planning to buy a BB P9982 online and the person selling the phone does not have box or anything else with the phone. How can I check and make sure that the phone is genuine & not stolen or blacklisted? Thanks for your help in advance.

    Genuine one the pin should start with 2AA also if a device is reported lost or stolen your sim won't work in it.

    Boot it up..if it's running Android is fake. BB10 can only run on a genuine BlackBerry.

    You can't.... unless he provides you with the pin/imei and you ask your carrier to check if it is blacklisted
