I have been switching between my Z10 and passport using the same bbid. Is there a limit to switching BBM from the same 2 devices.

Not recommended
Not to mention other apps requiring BBID will always log you out
Just get seperate accounts

You can freely switch as much as you want. Your BBID can be on up to 5 device without problems, and BBM can be activated as many times you want.


But the switch can take time, from a few minutes, to hours. When you Activate bbm on a device, it will sync your contacts, groups and channels from the cloud. The more data you have the longer time it takes.

Chat history are local on the device, and will NOT switch over to new device

Also there are cases of failed syncs where people have lost all BBM contacts because the phone was unable to pull contacts from the servers.

Never heard of total permanent loss though,.. in case anything happens, a reboot should fix

But in the world of electrons, anything is possible I guess
