I came from the Q10, was pumped about the trackpad on my new classic and since then have barely used it. I also noticed it's half the size of my old curve trackpad.
Are legacy upgrades using it more than BB10 side-verts?

I owned both the 9900 and Q10. The new trackpad is indeed pretty small, smaller than I thought. However I still use it, especially for text selection, cursor within the browser and, on occasion, for simple one-handed use.

yes, it wouldn't hurt to have the trackpad a bit bigger

I use the trackpad about 3/4 of the time, as that is how I'm use to using my BB, and I just loathe touchscreens. The trackpad"s size seems fine to me, and doesn't give me any problems using it.

I feel you brotha. I used to hate the touch screen on my 9900, and chose to use the pkb+trackpad combo, and can get anywhere blazing fast on the old legacy bbos.

However after I learned the BlackBerry10 gestures with the Z30, I find myself using the touch screen a lot more when I use the Classic. I'd say about 1/2 of the time, compared to 3.9/4 on my old 9900.

BlackBerry really did a good job with the gesture OS

I use the trackpad almost exclusively. It's not perfect: I still have difficulty moving in single steps but overall it's way more accurate and easy to use compared to touch screen. It feels more natural and comfortable holding the phone and not needing to stretch my thumbs beyond the lower half.

Find myself barely using the track pad on my Classic. Got so used to Q10 w/o it that I now look at Classic screen and think why is it there when it could be more screen real estate? I'd vote (if there was a vote...) to get rid of the BlackBerry logo and branding at the top and the toolbelt at the bottom and you could put a sweet 4 inch touch screen on the Classic. Niiiiiiiicce!! :-)

8/10 I use trackpad. Because the trackpad is implemented as an after thought, its use is awkward in several situations and in frustration I touch the screen. Hope this gets improved but I'm very doubtful.
