    So I just ordered the Classic on Verizon�s website and it says on back-order expected to ship on March 5th. Could have just gone to a store. What's up with it already being on back-order???

    It's probably a good thing you ordered. There is no guarantee there will be any in stock on March 5th in any stores.

    When the Z10 and Q10 launched, Verizon and BlackBerry anticipated that demand would be higher than it was, and BlackBerry took a hit financially over that. They are not making that mistake this time around... they are being cautious in regards to what supply they order. If the demand is there, Verizon will put more Classics in its warehouses. Right now, I suspect there aren't many.

    I just ordered too and tried to talk to some of the reps about the 2 day shipping and not being able to change that. Also asked about the back order thing. They said they had a high volume of orders and it's already backorder which I know is BS and that you can't overnight because they don't have a date for the next shipment, only an estimate...classic, no pun intended

    I called At 10pm last night when it went on the VZ website. It already had March 5 as ship by date. I then called and was told there aren't any in the warehouses yet. The Feb. 26 date was a LAUNCH date, not ship date.
    In the past, I've received my pre-orders ON the day they were in stores.
    This is different this time also as that I can't overnight ship even if I pay extra.
    Very weird and frustrating.

    Not true about being back ordered they never. Intended the phone to Be available before march 5. I tried ordering last week Thursday the verizon rep told they're only doing pre-orders & will Be sent out march 5. So I told her forget it march 5 I'll get in store.
