I just received a call from someone claiming to be from Rogers tech support. He said there will be a 1 hour service interruption in my area, as they are upgrading their 4g service. He went on to say I would receive a $10 credit for my inconvenience. Needless to say he wanted some info from me. (didn't give any).
I called Rogers Tech support. They had no record of anyone calling nor were there any outrages planned.
Anyone else receive a call like this?

Sadly there are trusting people who get prayed upon. They are the ones that will suffer.
2 things everyone has to remember....
1- DON'T give out any information!
    and
2- DON'T give out any information!

Yeah, they blew it when they said there was a $10 credit for inconvenience. Rogers would never call to offer credit even if they made a billing mistake. You'd have to call them and fight for it.

Yes. When I was talking to Rogers, I did joke with them. I said, "Rogers would NEVER call to say they wanted to pay me money!". They agreed, and we chuckled.

When Rogers wants to send info they will text.

Easier to text millions of devices vs cold calling one @ a time.

    Definitely a scam.
