To fix it, sideload Google Keyboard, when opened for the first time it'll prompt to configure the settings and it will invoke the native settings. Close the app, look for the Android settings with a launcher or ghost commander, go to Language and Text Input, deselect the BlackBerry Keyboard and select the Google Keyboard. Then, set the Google Keyboard as your predetermined input, and you're ready to go.

Also, a little question: Does anyone else can upload videos to Instagram?

So it works but it doesn't on the Q10, I'll experiment some more. Basically this disables my physical keyboard and the virtual one comes up. It worked flawlessly to type and send. To minimize the keyboard I had to hit the edit icon.

How do you get into Android settings with Ghost Commander?

Don't know if its okay to post it here but here it goes (Don't know how good the launcher is, i just happen to come across it. Im sure there are other launchers laying around somewhere ): Download GO Launcher EX 3.13.apk Android app You can use this launcher to change the keyboard settings. Open up the launcher and go to Settings ->Language & Input. You can also change the settings so that it doesn't vibrate every time you press a key on the keyboard. This works like a charm. Thanks to user TrioGM for posting this work around.

didn't see this posted anywhere else hopefully this can help out some other people, especially q10 users.. the google keyboard works great for instragram, and got my sideloaded splashtop actually working properly now.. but i wanted an easy way to change it.

sideload quick keyboard switch and you launch that app and pick which keyboard you want (you have to check both the bb keyboard and google keyboard in android settings) and you can toggle which kb you want, either before launching another app or minimize one app and launch quick keyboard switch, then go back to what you were doing.

maybe there's some better keyboard toggles someone can recommend? but this works for me right now.

Are you on the latest version? Not sure about other OS, but works for me on 10.2.0.1047 using debug method.

It shows how to access to the Android settings and other stuff. But you can sideload any launcher and you'll be set.
