Hi. My question is about voice coverage only. I don't care about data coverage.

If I don't select one of the network options that includes LTE on the network selection setting of my phone, will I be limiting my voice coverage? My question is prompted by hearing that allot of 4G and 3G towers are being replaced by LTE towers.

So I don't know if setting my Passport on 4g, 3g, 2g is only limiting the LTE data capability of a T-Mobile tower from reaching my phone, or if I am actually eliminating whole LTE towers from reaching my phone at all, if only with their voice capability.

I hope you understand my question. I don't want to be limiting my voice coverage with T-Mobile by not selecting LTE. I don't care about data coverage, only voice.

Okay, you don't care about data and you want maximize voice coverage. Got it. Why would you want to turn off LTE coverage? Are you expecting improved battery life? Basically, what benefit are you expecting?
