A March 24th news item from PC Magazine details a new Scam ID feature being rolled out in a few weeks by T-mobile. Scam ID will pop up an indicator that a call is likely a scam based on numbers from Privacy Star's database of scam callers. Subscribers can opt in or out of the feature from their phones.
The article mentions that scam callers ignore the National Do Not Call registry. This feature will not block telemarketers.

Sounds like a cool idea, but something that all carriers should be providing anyway. At least it's T-Mo though so you know it'll be free.
