Yep, Freedom Mobile which was once called WIND does. I know that because I just re-activated my 9790 as a back up. No charge over your plan costs.

    Pretty sure they all do.
Even Freedom (Wind) has it, but just be aware you need an AWS variant.

I think most variants (sold in Canada) worked on the AWS1 network (1700/2100) but it is important to check. It's also vital that your phone's unlocked too.

Keyboards are cheap on eBay and super easy to replace. Get a new one. It's so worthwhile.

And guess what Shuswap, the seller you recommended to me has then the cheapest I have ever seen, and there are 4 left RIGHT NOW! The price usually goes up as soon as a new batch is offered so to the Original Poster of this thread I would GRAB ONE NOW.

Still love mine and it is working perfectly, from all the markings on it I believe it IS an original Blackberry KB and not an aftermarket copy. I had tried a few cheaper copies at other electronics places locally prior to ordering from this seller, and none would work.

Function key are not frequently used (or i already learned how to avoid it by using icon.... thanks god the power on/off still ok, is the return and function that somewhat "lazy"). Thanks for all the suggestions. I'll keep them book marked.

Is BIS something you have to ask to activate with your legacy Berry now or is it just included with your plan?

I assume it is just included. I started out with an old Nokia and when I got a BlackBerry, it just worked. Just got to remember to register host routing tables on your device.

If you're asking if it is extra charge, then no, it is definitely no charge item. BIS is free!

You have to request that it's activated, I would do it at a corporate store as I find phone support and 'help' found at franchised stores is pretty useless. Besides, you may have to go and get a new (adaptable) SIM which they may or may not charge you for. I've mostly got them for free but I was charged $10 once and I know people who have been charged $25 which is highway robbery.

Really? You sure? That would be nice, I was thinking I'd have to scrounge up another 9900 if I switch to one of the other carriers.

Actually, it took me a while to find the info but it appears your Rogers device won't work on WIND/Freedom. Well it might, but on 2G only, sorry for misleading you. I did a quick scan through eBay for compatible 9900s and there are certainly a few T-Mobile versions out there ranging from $25-$80. The T-Mobile version is exactly the same as the WIND/Freedom version you just have to make sure it's unlocked or unlock it yourself.
