THis isn't showing up for me on my unbranded, uncarrier-d carphone warehouse phone. Anyone else?

I'm in the same situation. I think my phone came from UK to Sweden and its a stv-4.

Yes you have to read the article it gives more details that Dec 7th carriers can release the update

But before they said "PRIV resellers (carriers and other authorized dealers) that have agreed to participate in our regular monthly update program and facilitate rapid approval of our monthly updates for over-the-air (OTA) to subscribers."

So if AT&T, Verizon etc don't agree to participate, you wouldn't get the update OTA. Now, I'd think AT&T would as part of their exclusivity deal but doesn't mean Verizon will once they have the Priv.

It says "tap download button" but there's no damn download button to update like the screenshot op posted. Yes, I'm even scrolling down and checking. I see a yellow status bar so I'm guessing there's a background download taking place but there was never a download button that showed up. It started auto downloading.

Agreed!!! Sucks those of us with carrier locked Privs have to wait and hopefully this update will get pushed December 7.

Maybe this is an olive branch being extended to all the people who purchased through ShopBlackberry and went through that nightmare getting their Privs.

This is awesome on two fronts:
1. That they would have an MR within the first month
2. Good communication on the release schedule

I think it makes perfect sense to push the MR to unlocked, then carriers, then the apps because the apps may depend upon the MR updates, that's why they gave it a week after the carrier push to release them.

From what others are saying, the SD and the single typing is fixed once and for AL.
Looking forward to camera improvements too, but it wasn't that bad for me - Unlike the passport, it actually focuses well despite the shutter delay.

Thanks, I would be disappointed if this is not treated as a fully unlocked device. Maybe they are rolling out by IMEI or country.

Don't mean to gloat to ya'll non-unlockeys (lockeys?) but the dropped double key-presses was the most frustrating issue *by far*, for me. I'm glad someone somewhere is paying attention.

Now I can go back to trying to learn to touch type on this beast.

I think that scrolling through messages in the Hub is smoother when first opening the Hub or when task switching to it.

So question from a newbie here : I plan for buy a Priv in 2 weeks. When I get the phone shall I update the apps that come with the phone first or shall I grab this new release first? Thanks for the help.
