Thanks Sean, you are on point here. Focus is to reduce Bias from previous information but that isn't avoidable completely.

There are multiple spelling and grammar issues throughout, and other posters are correct; it does not give a good first impression.

Agreed. I didn't post about this as I was in a rush.

My view, is that a Lesson Learned from this exercise, is that it is always sensible to have things like this reviewed by a third-party who:

• is not at all familiar with the subject matter (then they will usually read the draft survey more thoroughly)
• is probably not at all dyslexic (dyslexia is very common, much more common than most people realise, especially within technical functions, even within universities)
• [note: my dyslexic detail-driven OCD girlfriend, who works in a university, is actually very good at proof-reading stuff like this!]
• preferably has proof-reading aptitude & experience

Just to point out.... I think that this (first-cut) survey is very interesting, and I hope that the results turn out to be informative and worthwhile.

The one issue that I had with it was the question about rating "Operating System" as a reason for using my current phone. The OS is the reason I use it - BB10 - but the entry then puts "Apps" in parentheses at the end. The OS is NOT Apps. Two totally different things leading to two totally different answers but only one line.

OS would be close to 10, Apps would be close to 1.
