Thumbs up Some positives from the outage

- 10% off of my charging pod. Thanks Crackberry!

- maps not working for Berry Weather. Why is this good? I can't see all the rain coming this way. Bonus!

- Google Maps not updating traffic. Cause I love sitting in NY traffic on the way home

- Appworld not working. Gives me more time to chat with the wife now instead of being on my phone.....

I'm sure there are more positives out there? Anyone? Bueller.....? Bueller....?

The outage isn't killing me - I still have a laptop that i receive my emails on too. Although my Berryweather app is sucking my battery dry .....

Very nice post...my outage was pretty short. I was in meetings for most of it. I would be mad if I was on day three though. Hopefully they learned something in this process.

saved a bundle on accessories for my new playbook on Crackberry.

didn't have to worry about the embarrassing vibrate sounds constantly during meetings.

was actually a tad more productive at work today other then following the news regarding the outage

gave me some quiet and intimate learning time with my playbook.

was able to have a good laugh at my son and the long download time for iOS5 for his iphone on iTunes. Apple servers are a bit overloaded as well

The way I see it is - If life gives you lemons, keep them, because, hey: Free Lemons!

Your battery life improved???? The outage hit North America today and I was all over Waterloo with people freaking out about the battery drain.

I've been averaging 1.5-3% accordingto Meterberry. Today with BIS down and my network having its own issues I was hovering around 27%!!! It was like having an iPhone all over again.

There is nothing positive about this outage for me...

Just recently came from an iPhone 4 to a 9900... Out of the country for work and my GPS wouldn't work AT ALL on my 9900.. Must have got lost in the bay area about 5 times.. Then the outage happens and I can't communicate with my clients all day...

iPhone had never failed me while travelling and my BlackBerry has in a big way. Really on the fence now if the 9900 goes for sale. Can't have this happen.

I use Logicmail for email. Phone calls, Text messages and mail always work for me on my carrier's network since I don't use BES and normally don't use BIS.

The word NOC is not special in the IT world. Usually it refers to an Operations staff.
