Service outage - 4/22/2011

Data just went down, maybe 15 mins ago. No email, googletalk or browsing. Phone shows 1XEV, uppercase.

Verizon.

I'm having the same exact problem here in New Jersey. I have Verizon Wireless. No yahoo, bbm, aim, email, etc.

Verizon biz data support just confirmed a nationwide Blackberry data problem across all carriers. Not all devices are down, but it is widespread.

BBM is still only down for me. Email and web works.

I'm not getting emails, (tried a battery pull, no dice) and it won't let me connect to the email settings (to try to resend service books). However, Weatherbug is working, and ::gasp!:: Opera Mini actually loaded a page (it's been really spotty lately).

UPDATE - Less than five minutes after posting (3 hours without data), it appears that the issue has been resolved automatically.

Same here in Phoenix. It started around 10 AM Arizona. No data services (BBM, email, browser). Verizon tech support doesn't think it's an outage, but I beg to differ. They want me to do a master reset, but I am going wait until later to see if the issue resolves itself. My wife's phone is not having the same issue. Both are the Blackberry Tour.

Couple users at my firm are having the problem (only two reported so far) in Arkansas on AT&T. Battery pull and cycling the radio doesn't help. I am also unable to perform an Enterprise Activation to setup a BES user.

Update: looks like service has been restored.

CLAIM there is no outage - I countered "that's the same thing you told me in January when only after it was fixed did you admit that there was a problem"

I got my data services back about 45 minutes ago, but lost them again 15 minutes later.

I find it unusual though - the technician when he was making me do useless steps of looking at the little sticker on the battery and inside the battery well to prove to him there was no water damage, that at no tiem did he ask if I was cionnected to wifi.....
