Outage Part 2?

Local news is reporting that some US BlackBerry users are experiencing e-mail outage/delays going on 2 hours now.

Is this strike two for RIM?

No, because if simply having an outage is a strike, then it's inevitable that any company which relies on servers will strike out eventually, so what's the point?

I'm having trouble with my Telus BB this morning. I can't access Facebook or BBM music. I can surf the web though. Not sure about emails (haven't received any more this morning).

I am having problems since last night. I can not receive emails, I can send emails from my work email address that is on my blackberry, but I cannot send emails from the blackberry email address or receive some emails that are addressed to my blackberry email address. I live in BC, Canada

Just got the following from my IT department:

Due to a RIM outage, no email messages are being sent to or received from BlackBerry devices at this time. All efforts are focused on working with RIM to resolve this matter.

Please make alternative arrangements to send/receive mail as necessary at this time using VPN, Citrix or GoToMyPC if you are remote.

You will be notified as soon as there are further updates.

Given our footprint in the US, IT usually lets us know if it is just a regional/office v. nationwide issue. I take the email to mean it's a nationwide issue.

Strike 3 for me. Sprint Florida, BIS or BES, cant send email for over an hour now.

Telus BB email and web surfing works, but I can't access Facebook or the BBM music catologue.

Confirmed outtage with Telus. Hopefully RIM gets it resolved soon.

In wausau, wi and the few people I had left here at work using BB are down, I use to be a fan of blackberry but this is the last outage for me, the last holds are getting moved to iphones.

We just had an outage and now another.

The point is that RIM is failing on multiple fronts right now and that is concerning, VERY CONCERNING! It simply shows that they sat on their fat a$$ and didnt upgrade their system, phones, software.
The addition of system failures is new and very damaging to RIM.

When you have a product that is not selling well than it stops working it doesn't take
a real smart person to figure out what its going to do to RIM.

SoCal VZW - BBM seems to be down but I can still send/receive e-mails at 830am PST.

T-Mobile in Northern Virginia sending and receiving e-mails all morning. Just tested and still sends and receives at this moment. BBM working. Berryweather was down but I just did a manual update and it worked.

EDIT, berry weather just came up - looks like everything is working for now.
