So...when we are talking BB Outage, what does this mean ? What were the symptoms ?

Could you make voice calls ? Could you surf ? Could you send/receive test messages ?
i.e. was the data experience totally gone ?

Or did it mean that BBM was dead or that BES was dead ? What about BIS ?

Shoot, did I missed the whole durn thing ???

If you don't care about receiving or sending emails from the service that you are paying for, then yes you missed it.

You're not alone. If not for Crackberry, I might have never noticed. My BES e-mail kept coming through, my Gmail accounts were delayed a while, but not bad. I don't use BBM much, but BBM Music never stopped functioning. A non-event from my perspective, but I suppose the story is different in Europe and Africa.

How did you miss it? I'm in Houston and our Corporate IT had to send out a bulletin due to all the calls from executives...

I still have not heard what the symptoms were. Could users surf, send and receive text messages, use the older web email methods,...? What were the things that they could not do ? Was it simply that RIM could not guarantee its vaulted security or did the whole data experience simply stop ? Could one look at Bloomberg, Reuters, AP, WSJ ? Did Skype work ? Could I have looked at my bank accounts ? Could I have looked at my Schwab Accounts and traded ? What about all the mapping apps ? O'l Doc Neutron

At my office it was lack of email access. Some people would get them in waves which doesn't work if you're an executive at a fortune 300 company and you aren't near a computer. As for the other issues, just check the forums. There are probably 50 threads beating the subject into the ground and blaming everyone but RIM...
