With DriveSafe.ly Pro, do I have to pay a monthly fee? Or this version they give away is free for life?

I've had Drivesafe.ly for years, no you don't pay a monthly fee so you just apply a key for one time, the function is a bit wonky so it varies between users, I found it more annoying than useful.

My question, which I haven't seen covered is: Are we only able to get one free app and must wait and choose wisely or can we get several, if not all, of the apps they will release over time? I know it said over 100 dollar value so I'm thinking more than one but don't want to waste a choice and not be able to get a better app later.

I downloaded it - seems to be hit or miss when it comes to actually working

Seems kinda pointless when rim is also going to give away that vlingo thing which sounds like it has all the features drive safely has and more.
