Default Day 3? REALLY THO???

Im losing it... It has now been 3 days that the services are down and my bold has been obselete with the functionality of a nokia 3310 arrrrghhhh
what infuriates me the most tho is that there is a lack of effort from RIM to really keep customers informed on the evolution of the repairs... A lot of people/businesses around me are lost and are seeking for new alternatives to their communication issues, we might assist to the rebirth of PALM.
When is this going to be fixed? where can we get a play by play of the situation?

It is ironic that a company built around messaging cannot get a message to its customers on what is happening.

Even London Underground which used to treat its passengers with contempt introduced a rule that if a train was going to be delayed in a tunnel or at a station for more than a few minutes then the driver had to make an announcement as to the reason for the delay and the estimated duration. That visibly made people happier even though it did not shorten the delay.

Big corporations have crisis management PR plans in place and RIM could sure do with some PR at this exact moment. The perception is that they don't know what they are doing.

Ironic it may be but it's got a lot of people thinking that RIM don't know exactly what is happening nor do they know how to fix it.

3 days of relative silence would imply so.

It is indeed becoming a bit stupid, the lack of info frustrates me more than anything. A statement from them last night said being resolved, just a backlog to clear, hmmm

Let's see ... the messages are still coming through only sporadically.

In the interim - not a peep out of either Vodafone Netherlands (my account) nor KPN (my wife's) for 3 whole days saying anything at all to their subscribers. Looks like it's not only Blackberry who are incapable of keeping customers involved

Default the last outage was a week long

Relax and be patient. Things will be solved soon. Once you get a flood of e-mail, things are then confirmed to be working. I am waiting for that. TELUS is aware too. Posted from my CrackBerry at wapforums.crackberry.com

Its been 13 hours since the statement and things have got bad to worse. Now browsing also not working here in india. The statement read a core switch failure is the culpirit and backup did not work as tested. Seems to be a lot more than what is being told.

Hmm, unfortunatley here in the UK I had a flood of emails on Monday evening, then more on Tuesday morning, then another flood this morning, and just had another flood (12:10pm GMT) but absolutely nothing in between these points.

Still no BBM now and still unable to send emails.

Just too frustrating.
