Carrier outage or RIM servers?
I've been unable to send messages through BBM/PIN messages. I just get the 'tick', with no 'D' or 'R' and it's been like this for over 30mins now. I've texted two of my friends and I'm not the only one.
On two occassions, I got an 'X' when I attempted to send a message using BBM. I'm able to surf the net and use BIS data required apps such as Facebook, Social Feeds etc, but not BBM or PIN msgn'
I really hope it's not another outage. That would not look good. - 05-06-2012, 08:51 AM #2

Yeah, I'm the UK and only the tick appearing and nothing else would suggest their phone's are either switched off or they don't have enough network coverage to recieve the message. The messages are either not sending/recieving at all or very, very slow.
This isn't good news. I'm on the o2 network.In BBRY we trust - 05-06-2012, 09:25 AM #8
This is a joke. I am even unable to find the Blackberry uk email address to ask them what's happening.

- pin is a small and pointy object...so it's really not for little ones.

I am on Telus Canada and I don't have this issue. May be this has to with your service provider.

I'm on Vodafone UK I don't think it's a carrier issue as BBM is bb servers not carrier masts

Bell Canada here, no problems to report.
If they're dropping the 4G playbooks, they might be rolling out BBM server upgrades to accomodate the platform. At least its taking place on a Sunday, not during the work week. - 05-06-2012, 09:47 AM #17

I'm on the o2-UK network and things seem to be picking back up now. I sent a BC message and I got a reply from one person who's also on o2, 'ticks', 'd's and 'r's seem to be appearing straight away too.

Yup. I can confirm, I've sent myself a couple of PIN messages, sent two messages on BBM and all send and recieve on time.
